Farewell Post

Dear readers and passersby,

This is my final post on Couture Tales.

Due to personal reasons, I can no longer keep up.

I truly enjoyed the creative process behind each tale.  I truly enjoyed incorporating fashion into every post.

Kiyonna and Stella & Dot added an extra layer to the creative end.  The essence of each story, though, was in fashion fiction...with or without affiliate marketing.

Kiyonna and Stella & Dot do still have valid points worth looking into.  Both have perks and reasons to shop.

With this said, I am leaving Couture Tales up and live should the blog be found and Kiyonna or Stella & Dot sparks interest.

And so I thank you for your interest in every story I drafted and posted.

I had a blast.

Shopping Spree

Due affiliate disclosure

Lauren was offered an employment position she could not pass on.  The location was in the heart of downtown.  The pay was awesome.  She had her own office.  Business casual was common office attire.  She now needed to go on a major shopping spree to be prepared for her new job.

Let's see...

New wardrobe - a must

New jewels - an accent to the new wardrobe

New purse - stylish touch

Wardrobe -

- Adorable dresses
- Trendy tops

Jewels -

- Modern
- Fashion forward
- Classic

Purse -

- Crossbody

Okay, she thought to herself.  I'm ready.

Lauren began on the Monday following her shopping spree.  She adored her job and loved having a personal office.  Her job soon became her career.  She never left her role, but received occasional pay raises.

With every raise came another shopping spree.

Queen Anne's Lace

Due affiliate disclosure

Annie recently graduated from The Art of Design.  She considered merchandising and buying during her studies, but apparel design was her dream career.

In the first six months after graduation, Annie was turned down by indie brands and major brands.  She was very upset but soon had an idea...

She would launch her own clothing line.

Annie adored lace fabric to work with because it is classic and relatively versatile - lace wedding gown with slight beading, lace blouse with jeans, lace blouse with a pencil skirt, lace blouse with dress pants, the options are endless.

Annie opted for the versatile look, especially blouses.

Annie sketched and handmade every style - formal, casual, slimmer size, plus size.

With samples on hand, Annie considered returning to the indie brands and major brands.  She also considered going to the corporate end of major retail.  Her request was to have her independent label sold in stores.

All were now impressed by her designs.  All agreed to sell her work as an independent label.

"What is your brand name?" all asked.

She hadn't considered that yet.

Let's see...

Annie by Design - No
Annie's Boutique - No
Annie Style - Definitely no

She was born under the name Anne, but family and friends called her Annie.  Anne though.  Lace.  She adored royal trends.

Queen Anne's Lace!  Yes.

"My brand name is Queen Anne's Lace."

Within one year of concept to production to sales, Queen Anne's Lace was a national name and must have among customers.

Couture Tales Highlight : Part 2

Fan Favorite

In this special edition of Couture Tales favorites, I am reflecting on fan favorites.

The leading contender is actually quite the surprise - Budget Savvy.

Budget Savvy was originally going to feature the fashion brand, Cents of Style.  I was once marketing Cents of Style as an affiliate.  However, due to personal reasons, I had to step down.

I chose instead to feature Stella & Dot in a random sort of way.  Stella & Dot does have a Sales section and offers occasional specials.  I knew I wanted to feature a brand I was marketing.  Stella & Dot was my best option.

When Budget Savvy appeared as a fan favorite, I of course was happily surprised.

And so feel free to read once more by following the link above or feel free to scroll through the archives!

Couture Tales Highlight : Part 1

Blogger favorite

My favorite post to date is split - London Style and Paris Style.

I chose to write about London and Paris fashion for two reasons - Stella & Dot has satellite offices in London and Paris (London is the European HQ for Stella & Dot) and secondly my passion for both locations.

Paris is the fashion capitol of the world.  Milan and London are a close second with equally profound input on current fashion trends.

New York City is the fashion capitol of the United States with fashion trend impact throughout the country and with certain input worldwide.

Current London fashion is timeless and modern all at once.  Perhaps my most favorite look is the Los Feliz Lila Mini Crossbody and Carrie Houndstooth Check Coat.  The styles are classic and define London.

Current Paris fashion is unique and would certainly make a statement at fashion week.  I am intrigued by the short shearling coat, skinny jeans, and booties look - rather fashion forward.  The military coat and kitten-heel booties are another intrigue.  I would never guess the two being a fashion pair.  I find Parisian style to be bold and daring...testing what could be and proving what it is.

Which would be your favorite?

Leave a comment to let me know!

Apology

Dear readers and passersby,

I am terribly sorry for the delay in posting.  My internet service went completely down over the past weekend and yesterday was the earliest chance I could receive tech assistance.  I am now back up and running.
